motorists urged to take extra care on holiday
Auto Club of Michigan warns the midweek Fourth of July holiday could be the most dangerous in years with 3.2 million motorists expected to drive 282.5 million miles over 30 hours. They cite near home crashes, fatigue, and pre holiday travel as key risks and offer tips to reduce fatalities. Police will increase patrols and a traffic information service will broadcast conditions to over 130 stations.
