Wakefield Board of Education holds 1964 regular meeting
The Wakefield Board of Education met June 9 1964 at 7 30 pm. Present were President Charles Valesano and members Gilbert Tosco Junttila Tiberi and Supt. Kleimola with Wasielewski absent. Minutes from May 11 and 18 were discussed and amended with votes to approve most sections excluding bus bids and sales. The board approved June invoices and accepted May financials, set driver education pay at four dollars per hour, and planned a July 13 public budget hearing. Resignations of Helene Sears and Arnold Korpi were accepted and the meeting adjourned after more routine motions.

Michigan Faces the Future Conference Maps Mineral Wealth
Michigan officials including Gov George Romney and William Roth joined over 300 participants at Wayne State for a statewide conference reviewing the states mineral resources. The meeting covered iron ore oil salt lime gypsum and other resources with processing plants coast to coast. Data for a conference map came from the Michigan Department of Conservation and a 100 page booklet.
