Short session notes council actions and bids
All council members attended the regular Monday session. They approved June minutes, $21 162.14 in bills, and May reports from the treasurer and city clerk, plus the health officer. Bids for a 1950 Chevrolet dump truck were rejected as too low. The panel paused bids on a fire truck and authorized bidding for poles and a three year pasture lease. Tank repairs, Fourth of July donations, Loomis Pit drilling progress, and next year’s street blacktop plans were discussed.
