Bits of Local Fare for the Men Over There
Memorial Day in Wakefield brought parade color bearers high school band American Legion and boy scouts. A cemetery program honored seven local war dead with a wreath as residents exchanged letters from soldiers. Community stories followed from Hawaii to Gogebic County with tales of fishing misadventures, past sports club memories, and a Halloween party at the Plymouth clubhouse featuring local residents in costumes.
