Wakefield High School 27th Commencement Friday at Wakefield Theatre

The twenty seventh annual commencement exercises of Wakefield High School will be held next Friday at the Wakefield theatre with Superintendent Robert Lohrie of Chippewa Falls delivering the address The senior honors assembly and class day program are planned along with diplomas and awards The event includes the Senior Class president and the procession and music by the High School Orchestra The senior class picnic at Lake Gogebic rounds out the celebration and students prepare for summer break June 9.

Wozniak Tregonning Couple Wed at St Marys Church

Wozniak and Tregonning tied the knot Monday morning at St Marys Catholic Church with Rev Thomas Drengacz officiating. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Renatis Tregoning, wore a white silk Congo outfit and gardenia corsage. the groom, son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Novakoski, wore palm beach. After a wedding breakfast at the groom’s home in Bessemer, the couple left for a month tour of the West visiting San Francisco Exposition and Yellowstone. They will reside in Milwaukee after returning, where the groom is employed.

Greyhound Starts Wakefield Route Through Michigan

The Greyhound Transportation Co has taken over the Northwestern Motor Bus Co route and began a new schedule with daily traffic to St Ignace Iron Mountain and Green Bay. The Wakefield departure is 10 52 am arriving Iron Mountain 2 40 pm and St Ignace that same evening. Connections at Iron Mountain link Green Bay and Chicago. The westbound arrives at 7 00 pm allowing passengers to reach Duluth before midnight.
