Wakefield City Council Adopts Parking and Aid Measures
The Wakefield Michigan city council met May 22 1961 to discuss parking at Highways M28 and US2 and to consider delaying enforcement for ninety days. They authorized a deed purchase for Lot 7 Block 18 Original Plat for one dollar with a reversionary clause and approved a $300 donation to the 4th of July celebration. A water site option with Keweenaw Lands Association was approved with a $900 additional payment from the water bond fund. The meeting also covered Blue Cross Blue Shield rate increases and a Wakefield High School honors assembly.
