Funeral Services Held For Mrs Elias A Wiitanen
Mrs Elias A Wiitanen aged 60 of Comet Location died last Wednesday at Divine Infant Hospital after a brief illness. Born Henri Sophie Peterson in Bessemer on April 18 1902 she married to Willan May 23 1931 at Ironwood and the couple moved here that year. Surviving are her husband three daughters two sons her mother a sister and two brothers nine grandsons and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p m with Rev S V Autere officiating burial followed at Lakeside Cemetery.

At the Wakefield Rotary Club gathering Monday night guest speaker Gordon R. Connor, of Wausau Wisconsin, discussed his recent England Ireland Italy Turkey and Greece trip. He described ancient ruins, Greek excavations, and a theater seating fifty thousand, plus notes on customs and daily life in the countries visited.

Mrs Anton Budgick formerly Victoria Martinkoski died Tuesday at Gogebic Hospital where she had been patient since August 1959 in Wakefield. Born November 20 1873 in Poland she came to the United States 64 years ago settling in Wakefield. Survived by five daughters five sons 39 grandchildren 39 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral at Immaculate Conception Church Friday at 9 with Rev Charles Daniel officiating. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Rosary at 7 30 Thursday evening.
