John Adolph Ronn 56 Wakefield Township died at 12 15 a m Tuesday after two days of illness He owned Sunday Lake Garage once Charles Lamps Blacksmith Shop He extinguished a Saturday garage fire without calling the fire department He planned to develop Washburn Gold and Silver Mine tours He married Sylvia Jurma July 2 1933survived by wife son Richard John Kenosha three sisters and three grandsons Funeral from First Lutheran Church Friday at 2 p m with Rev Rudolph Kemppainen assisting Memorial chapel open for visitation

Philip Mattila a Wakefield resident died Sunday at Divine Infant Hospital after a long illness born in Finland in 1886 he came to the United States in 1903 worked at Castile Mine and Summit Dairy before retirement He married Elma Erickson and later Ida Salo surviving family includes three daughters a stepson a sister and seven grandchildren Funeral services were conducted at First Lutheran Church with burial at Lakeside Cemetery.
