Wakefield Board of Education approved Supt Carl Kleimola to attend the M A S A Conference in Grand Rapids January 10 and 11 and Harry Sutter to the North Central meeting in Chicago in March. They also allowed travel with own expenses and called for examinations for a secretarial post replacing Sally Davis Jasberg.

Aho Couple Plans Three Week Trip to Visit Six Children

Dr and Mrs G A Aho will depart Sunday January 14 for a three week vacation to visit three of their six children. They will stay with the Munds in Minneapolis the Gerhards in Springfield Illinois and Joathons in Miami Florida. They have daughters in Massachusetts and Cleveland and a son Frederick principal at Westfield high school New Jersey. Dr Aho pastors Bethany Lutheran Church.

Quiet December Recorded by Michigan State Police Unit

Sgt Cosmo Bonello reports December as quiet for the Michigan state police unit. Officers worked 9 percent hours per day on a six day week, patrolled 9 271 miles, issued 35 traffic summons, assisted 25 motorists, and investigated 79 cars. They made 91 property inspections and 60 liquor inspections, warning 91 motorists for traffic violations. They spent 370 hours on complaint investigations, resulting in 16 arrests for minors with beer, DUI, breaking and entering, assault and battery, drunkenness, and driving with revoked license.

First Lutheran Church Plans Family Night Program

The First Lutheran Church announces Family Night on Sunday January 14 at 7 p m with the Junior Department in charge. The program includes hymns scripture and prayers by Mrs Lyle Thompson and Debbie DeHich poems by Jacalyn Nerya and Dana Harju songs by seven year olds, and a film Harvest of Years followed by benediction and lunch hosted by mothers of eight and nine year olds.
