Sheriff Rowett Honored At Surprise Banquet In Bessemer
Sheriff John Rowett, finishing a four year term, was guest of honor at a surprise banquet in Eagles Hall Bessemer. Attendees included Attorney L S Rice as toastmaster and Attorney W S Baird who praised Rowett. A Colts revolver gift was delayed. Rowett to receive it later. The evening ended with music dancing and singing as friends bid farewell at midnight.
