New Year Holiday Closing Notices for Local Businesses

Mrs Johnson Dies After Embolism In Ironwood
Johnson died December 22 from an embolism following surgery. Born May 29 1881 in the old country she came to the area in 1889 and lived in Ironwood. Survived by her husband and eight children Jennie Lillian Mrs John Veda Verona Verner Clif ford Evie Arthur Plymouth location and Oliver a student at Albion College. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 pm from the home and Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev Herman Ironwood presiding.

Auto Victim Dies Sunday At Hospital
Herman Ranta a woodsworker died from injuries after being struck by a car driven by Carlo Lucma early Christmas morning. He sustained a compound leg fracture, three rib fractures, a tinctured lung and other internal injuries. The accident was reported at 2 30 and he died at 5 45 a m. Neidhold Funeral Home will handle the body, and the case is under advisement by the prosecutor.
