Wakefield hunter Simon Mars died from exposure in the woods nine miles north of Thomaston early Saturday. His body was found hours later by his hunting party. He was 51 and a longtime woods worker born in Finland. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Neihdold Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Hirvi officiating.
