Local county officers receive infantry commissions
Word was received Wednesday that A. L. Rummel and F. A. Sergeant, attendees of the second officer training camp at Fort Sheridan, have been commissioned as First Lieutenants in the Infantry. W. H. Daggett of Bessemer also received a similar commission. They were the county’s only three attendees. Congratulations are extended, and they will be home on furlough soon but must report for active duty on December 15.
