New Tax Law Turns Big Job to Counties
A new law signed April 18 by Governor Dickinson shifts delinquent tax roll compilation to county treasurers in all counties and directs a general revision of tax laws on delinquent taxes and installments. It places costs on counties, allows state aid if counties refuse, and lowers monthly interest on delinquent taxes from 0.75% to 0.5% with a 4% collection fee. It also lets taxpayers combine moratorium installments to total at least $1 and details redemption rules for May 1938 state bid lands by Sept 30, 1939.

Wakefield Schools to Present Spring Physical Education Program
Wakefield Health and Physical Education departments will demonstrate activities to improve health knowledge, behavior and character at the annual spring program. City approves liquor licenses amid contentious council vote
