First Annual Gogebic Range Coach Clinic Slated

The Gogebic Range Football Coaches Clinic announces a three day event from June 29 to July 1 in Hurley and Bessemer. top college coaches like Daugherty Fairbanks Grant Agase Schembachler Kush and Jardine will headline a 21 member staff offering sessions on defense the wishbone offense and computerized scouting. A Celebrity Golf Tournament and a Coach of the Year Banquet will accompany the program. Local sponsors seek additional community funds.

Knights of Columbus Council Plans Corporate Communion

At the Wakefield Knights of Columbus Council 2849 meeting a large turnout discussed two corporate communions for Sunday April 30 at 9:00 AM in Wakefield. Plans include a world peace Mass with the Pete Menard General Assembly color guard, softball games, and a May meeting with wives and guests at a late dinner.

The Wakefield Historical Society outlined plan for a one week historical show from June 29 to July 5 featuring displays by the society, Wakefield Area Artists, Wakefield Rock and Mineral Club, and Wakefield Coin Club. Mrs. Joseph Kirchner was elected president succeeding Mrs. Arold Swanson who led the group for two years. General Meeting of Lutheran Church Women Set for April 24

The Lutheran Church Women of Immanuel Church will hold a general meeting on Monday April 24 at 7 30 pm in the church hall. Devotions are by the Rachel Guild, the Ruth Guild will lead the program and lunch will be served by the Esther Guild. Plans will be made for upcoming summer activities.
