Wakefield backs airport for Upper Peninsula air tour
Wakefield city commission endorsed supporting a planned Upper Peninsula air tour starting June 10 at Sault Ste Marie. The city would financially aid landing-field improvements if nearby sites prove feasible, with options on several fields and local airports inspected as suitable government fields. William Bodoh Dies in Flint Hospital
William Bodoh died Wednesday morning at Hurley Hospital in Flint after a long stomach ailment. He had lived in Flint for three years, worked as a painter, and moved here from Oshkosh during 1926's downturn. The body will reach Chelsea, Wisconsin, for funeral services Monday with Rev. Henry Rogers officiating, and he leaves a wife Belle Kincaid and three children Harold Florice and Owen, plus his mother and several siblings.

The average weekly inmate maintenance cost in Gogebic County infirmary was $6.09 for the year ending September 30, 1928, with only Chippewa and Delta counties lower in the Upper Peninsula.
