Miner Killed by Rock Fall at Peterson Mine
George B. Stevens 33 of Wakefield was killed at 5 45 p m Friday when a rock slab fractured his skull at the Peterson mine in Bessemer. He was on the second shift removing timber after blasting on the 26th level. Born August 24 1922 in Norway Mich he leaves a wife three children and relatives in Negaunee and Norway. Funeral services were held in Norway.
