EDRC honors Banner with August Business Appreciation Award
The Elkton Downtown Revitalization Corporation awarded The Valley Banner the August 2015 Business Appreciation Award and plaque for preserving the town’s appearance. The Banner, based at 157 West Spotswood Ave, has a 21 year office history in Elkton, tracing back to a former 7 11 site later renovated by Wayne Printz. The building’s tenants have included Ruby Cave, Sharon Dean, the Video Library, Stover’s Electronics, and Rockingham Publishing Company. The Valley Banner is Elkton’s longest continuously published paper, with roots dating to 1891.
