Elkton council candidates outline plans for growth and debt relief
Elkton voters face a council race with five candidates detailing priorities. Isom targets debt reduction by selling Kite property and finishing the water treatment plant while improving information flow. Printz highlights tax relief, property annexations, and town promotion amid economic concerns. Berg emphasizes economic policy, transparency, tourism, and citizen input. Blose focuses on senior aid, fiscal accountability, and resource optimization. Gooden promotes phased infrastructure upgrades and debt payoff, plus marketing Kite property. A candidates forum is set for Oct. 29 at Elkton Middle School.
