Town Eyeing Dumpster at Old Spotswood Trail Waste Station
Comer hopes a county dumpster at 18536 Old Spotswood Trail will curb hauling to Harrisonburg landfill. Large items cannot be dumped there. EAUS volunteers move trash from outside their thrift store to 412 Gibbons Ave and haul sofas, mattresses, and TVs to the sewer plant dumpster. Town will stop paying Green Earth for haul to the county landfill as of July 1. 2014 charges totaled $8,406 for 27 trips.
