Artisans Trail meeting and town projects detailed
The May 6 meeting covered plans to promote the Artisans Trail in Page County with a business websites workshop at the town center from 3 to 5 pm and a networking session 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Stevens Cottage funded by Blue Ridge Bank and Shenandoah Heritage Center volunteers. Officials discussed water leak work orders, a recently repaired sidewalk near the post office, permit issues on bay enclosure at the town maintenance shop, and the bid change to Stoneburner Inc. at 14 750 dollars. The Virginia Department of Transportation outlined drainage, ditch cleaning, paving along U S 340 and related patching and sweeping projects. Two waterproof kiosks were approved for River Park and Big Gem Park at 898 dollars.
