Choices offers help to victims of violence in Page County
A local volunteer group in Page County started in 1986 to address domestic and family violence. Violence for Page County runs an 18 person emergency shelter with crisis intervention, children's support, teen education, legal advocacy, and round the clock hotline service. Debbie Dart, executive director, notes most calls come from women and that police or hospitals refer some clients. The shelter plans a fundraiser on May 7 at the Luray Moose, with dinner and a silent auction, call 743-4414 or email debbiedart@choicesofpagecounty.org for details.
