Elkton Walking Tour Highlights Local History and Banks
Friday's walking tour drew more than 50 with guides recounting Elkton’s past. Participants visited the Rockingham Coop building, later Elkton Cooperative Farm Bureau site, the Bank of Elkton precursor, and landmarks such as the Heard Building and Jennings House Civil War hospital. A 75-person Class of 1965 reunion was planned, with a three-page brochure detailing 18 Elkton structures.
