Viewpoint on Owen and Lowen Shifflett from Elkton memories
Don Lucas recalls Owen Shifflett obituary in the Banner as he remembers Elkton twins Owen and Lowen Shifflett who served as town mascots at events. He notes photos in Hobby Robinson's books, mentions local figures, a wartime barber shop, and his lifelong habit of shoe shining sparked by them. The piece blends personal history with local landmarks.
