Elkton Council Reconsiders Rezoning Amid Housing Plan
Elkton Town Council met Monday night with over twenty residents present to address the proposed Koogler housing project and a request to rezone Newtown Road property from R-2 to R-6. A licensed pharmacist expressed interest in opening a town pharmacy. The council approved its first Business Improvement Award and a minor lot-line adjustment amid cautious public testimony led by former mayor Lee Dearing urging delay to block tax-credits driven development.
