Elkton okays new evidence room for police department
Elkton Town Council approved building a secure evidence room for the Elkton Police Department after moving operations to the Elkton Area Community Center in August due to Town Hall flooding and mold. Police Chief Hammer said no current secure space exists at the EACC and town hall renovations require a new room before any work. Mayor Printz did not provide a cost estimate. Hammer called it relatively inexpensive with no opposition during the vote.

MillerCoors aids Christmas meal distribution in Elkton
MillerCoors Shenandoah Brewery partnered with Elkton Area United Services to pack and deliver Christmas dinner boxes to over 300 eastern Rockingham County families. The effort included more than 12 tons of food and 350 donated hams, serving about 700 people in the Elkton community. EAUS Executive Director Marsha Keck Deavers praised the longtime partnership.
