Santa Claus returned to Shenandoah last Saturday for the Big Gem Park Christmas tree lighting. A Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Company truck carried Santa on the running board with siren and spotlight as about a dozen children watched from the park knoll. Santa heard wishes while wearing a red suit and flowing whiskers. The Beautification Committee prefilled two bags of gifts for girls and boys, distributed to children on the way home. The toys were procured by Shenandoah resident Jackie Staples.
