Schulenburg Texas July 3 Jesse Bullock 35 years old negro lynched on Main street before 300 plus. Bullock identified by a twelve year old white girl as the man who attacked her at her parents home. A posse of about 200 Colorado and avaca County citizens intercepted Bullock as he was being taken to jail. Bluffton Ind July 3 Threatened with violence if he did not obey an order to leave town before morning a minister at Keystone alleged to have attacked two eight year old girls left home. Crowd waited for the clergyman after a Church board meeting and a note ordered him to depart or face consequences. Two men watched the Parsonage until the accused minister left.

In Georgia Negro melon growers report prices as low as 25 per carload, while white growers fetch up to 762.50 per carload. White growers form a melon association excluding Negroes. Negro planters must sell to association members or to mercants who pay little. Weeks ago, some Negro planters courted Pittsburg commission merchants at 25 fob in Georgia, hoping for higher prices. Pittsburg merchants reportedly feared the low offers.
