Lancaster Ky March 26 Twenty four hours after George Yantis forty-year-old Negro attempted to enter the home of Mrs Clayton Marsee near Lancaster he was arrested by Sheriff A K Walker and a posse indicted by a grand jury and found guilty of attempting to attack a woman and sentenced to seven years in the State Penitentiary He was taken to Frankfort tonight The Negro learning that the woman's husband was in Lancaster went to the house and represented that he was a meat buyer Mrs Marsee told him that she had nothing to sell and when he attempted to enter the house she closed the door Yantis attempted to force his way in and her screams would be overheard he ran away.
