Proceedings of the 2nd Congress of the Communist International
The Kremlin session opens with Lenin and Zinoviev leading discussions on the role of the Communist Party in the proletarian revolution. Zinoviev argues for centralized party leadership guiding trade unions and Soviets, while Lenin and Trotzky weigh national party needs against international unity. Five committees are formed to debate program items as the congress continues with debates among delegates from eight nations.
