Hunger Strike by Attica Inmates Enters Fifth Day
Forty eight of sixty convicts labeled troublemakers from the Attica uprising have begun a partial hunger strike to protest conditions, reportedly refusing meals containing pork. Lawyers said the prisoners, mostly Black Muslims, were served limited meals and pork-containing dishes.
