Callicoon native Grover M. Hermann donates an additional 100000 to Sullivan County Community General Hospital, bringing his total to 500000 as part of a 1650000 project. Trustees say the move accelerates raising the remaining 125000 needed, via a renewed fund drive. In Parksville two people were injured in a two car crash near Rt 17. Woman and child injured in Stanhope crash on Stillwater Road
Mrs. Mary L. Westbrook, 28, of RD 4 Newton, and her 5-year old daughter Susan were hurt when her car slid out of control on Stillwater Road. They were taken to Newton Memorial hospital where Mary Westbrook was listed in good condition with a fractured knee cap while Susan had a severe scalp cut, fractured leg, and multiple bruises and was in fair condition.
