Mills says not interested in presidential nomination

Wilbur D. Mills, head of the House Ways and Means Committee, says he is not remotely interested in seeking the Democratic presidential nomination and would rather remain chairman of his committee. He would not close the door on the vice presidency, but prefers his current post. Mills predicts Nixon could be beaten if a Democrat is nominated. He opposes federal state revenue sharing and notes Congress would seek other city-finance measures if revenue sharing fails. He also says a tax cut would depend on economic progress and administration support.
