Frequency change for Orange County fire radio system
Orange County fire service will switch to a new radio frequency 46.10 megacycles with Aug 1 completion target. Fire coordinator Edwin R. Moulton announced at Cronomer Valley, noting Mt. Beacon hosts the new tower and that Cronomer Valley got the first crystals installed. Each county unit and leased apparatus will get installations funded by the county, with other vehicles billed to departments. Installation costs average about 40 dollars per unit.
