Britain orders army units to quell Hong Kong riot

In Hong Kong Sha Tau Kok border area British troops faced a fresh wave of violence. A British soldier was wounded by a bomb while four others including a police officer were killed. Saturday’s machine gun battle left seven dead and 11 injured as Communist linked violence intensified. Lt Col Ronald McAllister led Gurkha units patrolling to prevent further clashes and questioned Red Chinese troops’ involvement.
