Young Dancers Deliver Original Program in Middletown
Five dancers from the First Chamber Dance of New York presented a two hour recital at Middletown High School. The program ranged from traditional and modern ballet to folk and Japanese dance, with works choreographed by Charles Bennett and Michael Athoff. The troupe, former members of leading American companies, showcased fresh, varied pieces, costumes crafted by dancers, and taped music clear in performance. The show closed with a lively folk piece set to Buffy Sainte Marie songs. next Community Concert features Don Shirley on March 19 at Orange County Community College.
