Conservatives Pinn Official Party Status In Albany

Albany report notes the Senate passed a bill making the Conservative Party the third party on New York's ballot behind Republicans and Democrats and ahead of Liberals. Hughes halts move on Blaine Amendment repeal measure

Sen. John H. Hughes, sponsor of a proposal allowing citizen suits to block state expenditures for unconstitutional uses, said he is not ready to push the plan as debate ends. State tax collections for the first 10 months reached 3.2 billion, up 183 million from last year, with personal income taxes at 1.4 billion, and Levitt noting a billion in taxes to come over the final two months to meet annual forecasts.

Judge to moderate workshop in Kingston on youth rehab

Kingston judge Raymond J. Mino will moderate a half day workshop titled Law Enforcement and Rehabilitation of Young People. The program runs March 13 from 1 30 to 3 30 at Benedictine Hospital Nursing School auditorium. Registration is at 27 O Reilly St Kingston before March 11.

Arnheiter in Court Demanded by New Jersey Insurer

New Jersey insurance agent Tasker Wild asks President Johnson to order a full-scale court of inquiry into Lt Cmdr Marcus Arnheiter and the USS Vance mutiny. He accuses several Navy admirals of blocking a fair trial, cites personnel actions, and warns the case threatens military discipline. Milford Borough Sets 1958 Budget At 50500 Expenditures

Milford Pa council approved a 50500 budget with a 23 mill levy up two mills from 1967. Top items include 13350 for streets 7000 health and sanitation 4500 borough building 4700 police and 4000 admin. The plan also notes plans to convert old lockup cells into washrooms and notes dog enforcement and homeless dog issues.
