Rockefeller budget reveals region's $90 million in local aid
Gov. Nelson Rockefeller’s $2.68 billion budget to the Legislature includes more than $90 million in local assistance and state installations for Orange Sullivan Ulster County area. About $36 million is capital construction, with $20 million for the Newburgh Beacon bridge completion and funds for Middletown State Hospital and several state training facilities. The breakdown shows Orange $57.9 million, Sullivan $6.8 million, Ulster $25 million in local and capital allocations, with aid and operations by year and district.
