In frigid Bloomington Minnesota, the Vikings beat the Los Angeles Rams 23-20 to win the NFL Western Conference title. Joe Kapp passed for 196 yards and scored the winning TD, Alan Page intercepted Gabriel to seal the victory, Fred Cox added the extra points, and Carl Eller anchored the defense as Minnesota improved to 12-2.
