Ben Hine Wins Car At Dance Saturday
Ben Hine won a Ford V-8 donated by the American Legion at a park improvement dance Saturday night. He was not present when read from the stage but was notified at his apartment. C E Nelson of Sidney was elected district president of the farmers union at the annual meeting held last Tuesday in the city auditorium. Other officers named were Emil Neqada Hemingford vice president Milo House Hay Springs secretary treasurer. Reports from the Farmers Union Institute were given by seven students including Pearl Nelson Ed Hiett and Eileen Livingston. About 150 persons attended the district session. E A Shoemaker state secretary spoke as the main address. Aaron Nissen of Hay Springs discussed the National All States Institute in South Dakota. Berea was awarded the next district convention to be held in March.
