One Jail Breaker Is Nabbed In Colorado
Charles Huber a 17 year old Denver youth who broke jail September 14 is back in custody. Sheriff’s office said Huber was arrested in Littleton Colorado last week and brought to Sidney Friday. He and Donald Carleton, held for an August 11 box car robbery, escaped the county jail. Carleton is still missing. no trace found. Sheriff Schulz said Huber’s escape was influenced by Carleton.

Another Youth Joins Navy From County
Harold Woolsey of Dalton enlisted in the navy at Denver September 19 and has been sent to the naval training station at San Diego for three months of vigorous training. Woolsey is the fourth Cheyenne County youth to join Uncle Sam's naval forces in the past two weeks, Clyde Brewer and Golewin Dyke of Sidney and Garlord Anderson of Dalton having joined September 16.

Allotment plan reaches key stage after deadline pass
With the signing of the last applications for wheat allotment contracts Monday night 400 Nebraska farmers and county agents and emergency agricultural assistants have completed the first part of the triple four wheat adjustment plan. State wheat administrator W H Brokaw praised the effort noting more than 100 percent of census list signups and about 75 percent of the state’s wheat acreage under the plan. A Washington checkup is due, with county reports arriving in the morning mail next week.
