A potato harvesting demonstration will be held at the Earl Panabaker farm one mile west of Sidney on Wednesday at 1 30 pm. Agricultural Agent Swinbank with the Nebraska Certified Potato Growers Association and the Agricultural Extension Service sponsor the event to show methods to prevent moisture cracks and mechanical injuries that cost Western Nebraska growers about 250000 yearly. Youths Nabbed Here On Theft Suspicion
Sheriff W. W. Schulz took two Lexington youths into custody Friday and later turned them over to Lincoln County authorities for questioning in connection with the theft of a bicycle at Brady. The pair named Raymond Ward and Lyle Wood reportedly sold the bicycle to a Sidney second hand dealer but had not collected the money when arrested. They allegedly brought the bicycle to the area in a car and claimed it was theirs when agreeing to sell it.

Loebe Injured in Truck Overturn near Lodgepole
Henry Loebe of Sidney sustained bruises and minor injuries when the Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. truck he drove overturned twice about a half mile east of Lodgepole on Saturday night. State Patrolman Alvin Jensen noted Loebe said he was blinded by oncoming headlights. The vehicle was extensively damaged.

Arthur Oldenburg of Sidney was fined ten dollars and costs in county court for reckless driving after a state patrolman testified he drove onto the highway from a side road in front of the patrol car. The officer, who was pursuing a speeder, swerved into a ditch to avoid a collision. the patrol car was lightly damaged and the Wyoming speeder escaped.

Diminutive Johnny of cigarette fame stopped in Sidney Thursday for a second visit in a year and a half.
