Lincoln Highway Paving Progress Near North Platte
Three construction crews of about 100 men each lay concrete slabs between North Platte and Paxton. Abel Construction from North Platte to Hershey has completed about 1 1/8 miles and Dobson Robbins from Hershey to Sutherland about 1 1/8 miles after the first week. Two crews operate on the North Platte to Hershey stretch. When all six contracts in Lincoln and Keith counties finish, the Lincoln highway ribbon will extend 40 miles farther west.

He weighed the possibility that one body could be James Theeman of Chappell who vanished in June 1929 while pursuing a car deal in Sedgwick Colorado. Theeman’s wife and two children stay in Chappell, with his parents in Scottsbluff. The bodies appear older than Theeman, making positive identification uncertain. Clark also handled routine duties including stock truck inspections through Sidney.
