Mrs North of noted scout dies at 81 in Columbus
Elvira E North 81 widow of Pawnee Indian scout Capt Luther North and famed rifle shot and horsewoman died in Columbus after a California birth and long Nebraska residence. Born to James Sprague she rose to fame with gun and saddle on Buffalo Bill Cody’s ranch in the early eighties. She married Capt North in 1898. he died 1935. Two nieces and a nephew survive.

Judge Guy E. Clark Injured in Mountain Road Crash
Former Sidney resident Judge Guy E. Clark was injured last week when his car overturned on a Mountain road near Idaho Springs Colorado. Wet pavement blamed. He was taken to Denver for emergency treatment then returned home. Injuries not considered serious by friends. A passing motorist helped him from the wreckage and sped him to aid.

Andrew Anderson Dies After Long Illness in Nebraska
Pioneer resident Andrew W. Anderson of Ti Nebraska died Monday morning at his daughter Mrs J M Nelsons home eight miles southwest of Potter after a period of failing health. Funeral plans were not finalized by press time, with services tentatively set for Wednesday in Potter. Anderson, a long-time Nebraska resident since 1838, was taken to Rice Funeral Home for arrangements.

Mrs John W Weiand 44 a Sidney resident for eight years died Sunday morning in a local hospital after months of ill health. She was born April 26 1896 in Philips Nebraska as Ogoreto Gertrude Sampson and married Mr Weiand in Holsake Colorado on September 27 1920. They had one daughter Elaine and lived in Dalton then Sidney. She was active in Eastern War and American Legion Auxilary and Jobs Daughters.
