Two Men Nabbed For Forgery At Deadwood
Two men identified as Merle Schott and Joe Berky were arrested at Deadwood on Saturday. Initial reports said they were held for the sheriff at Sidney, Iowa. Sheriff Schulz later said Sidney authorities want them for alleged forgery. They were accompanied by a girl at the time of arrest.

California lawyer dies from injuries in wreck
John Jaxson Deelman, 31, prominent patent attorney of Los Angeles, died in a local hospital Thursday evening from injuries suffered when his car left the road west of Sidney last Saturday. His wife, severely injured, remains hospitalized. The crash, on the Bronson to Sidney highway, occurred as Mrs Deelman lost control after front wheels twisted. Deelman was en route to Washington, D. C., on important legal business. his death ends a noted legal career with a bright future. His father B. J. Deelman and father-in-law Dr. C. B. Herman were at his bedside.

Charles Neal Plans Appeal of Murder Conviction
Charles Neal former Potterman will appeal his murder conviction of Ida Hansen, a Florissant, Colorado, milliner. His attorney, W. A. Bryans, reports a 60 day extension was granted to prepare the appeal by District Judge Eikle. Neal was sentenced to life imprisonment after a new trial was denied.

Return of legalized liquor to Nebraska could lift state school allotments by about 15 percent from a yearly official total near one million dollars. License revenue from package liquor totals around 130 000, with similar gains expected from beer and other licenses. Lawrence Jeffres Killed in Ogallala Automobile Crash
Lawrence Jeffres aged 21, son of Mrs Kathryn Jeffres, was instantly killed Saturday evening when his car collided with a heavy cattle truck at Ogallala. His unnamed passenger survived with injuries. Jeffres’ mother had worked at the Sidney relief office until two weeks ago. Funeral services were set for 10:30 this morning at the Catholic church in Ogallala.

J C Parks local manager of the national reemployment service says no able bodied Cheyenne county resident should be unemployed. He can place every physically fit unemployed citizen on paying work at Ogallala or Sutherland earning 40 cents an hour for 40 hours weekly. Attendance Records Topple On Last Day Of County Fair
The 1935 county fair concluded with record attendances as schools closed countywide. An estimated 2940 cars filled grounds, the grandstand packed, and crowds lined the race track rails and midway.
