Luther G Pitts Dies At Home In Cheyenne County
Luther G. Pitts aged 78, a pioneer resident of Cheyenne county, died last Saturday morning of heart disease on the Pitts farm 23 miles southwest of Sidney. His death occurred after he had lived a lonely life since his wife died about 30 years ago. Present was his daughter Mrs. Claude Sherwin of Sterling who arranged the body’s shipment to Sterling and placement at Jackson mortuary.

Coroner's jury probed last seen with a Geldman as relatives report possible new angles but no facts yet. Benedict had lived in Sidney for years and was selling cars before departing for Denver now believed to be his place of work. He is survived by a wife and children. Relatives await further word.

Mrs. E L Uptegreve, prominent Sidney resident, died in Brush hospital after a two vehicle wreck six miles north of Brush Colorado Friday afternoon. Also injured were Mrs F A Barger and Mrs A S Hardy with multiple injuries, along with Richard Barger Robert Barger and Margaret Uptegrove. The crash followed a rear tire blowout sending the car into a ditch, witnesses said.
