Three damage suits totaling 10 750 were filed Saturday against Cheyenne county over an August 22 accident west of Gurley. Plaintiffs include Sarah Snyder 27 a Gurley teacher seeking 7 500 for loss of health and employment plus injuries. Samuel P Hunt seeks 2 750 for injuries loss of employment and property damage. Helen E Hunt seeks 500 for injuries and nervous shock. Kratz represents all three.

Tewell to Speak at Seventh Americanization Program
District Judge J L Tewell of Sidney will give the main address at the seventh semi annual Americanization program at Scotts Bluff High School auditorium on Sept 20. William Trumbull announced. Invitations extend to Sullivan. if he attends it will mark the first district director presence. No Serious Injuries In Series Of Weekend Wrecks Near Sidney
A sequence of accidents over the weekend left no deaths or serious injuries. Six people escaped when their car stalled on tracks and was demolished by a Union Pacific freight at Krueger's crossing, six miles east of Sidney. The driver, a Plattsmouth man, and his wife, Kenneth and Mrs Swenson, and Leonard Swenson were rescued by bystanders. Deputy Sheriff Barton Taylor could not learn the driver’s name. Also near Lorenzo a car driven by Maxine Fulton overturned twice, injuring six passengers including Miss Fulton and Chapell residents Wilma Schulz Thelma Stegman Richard Craig and Ortis Cook.
