Midmonth survey shows about 50 percent of Nebraska corn planted by May 20, with winter wheat at 96 percent in very good condition. Rainfall in April and May below normal in places, moisture generally sufficient, and farm prices easing. Sterling Golfers Trim Sidney By Fifty Five Strokes

Redington Youth Nabbed After String Of Thefts In Baker
Chester Robertson of Redington, once in Nebraska state prison, is jailed in Baker Montana on multiple robberies. Beginning April 18 he stole three cars and raided homes stores and stations before being captured with a stolen car. He and companion Howard Petet tied to the Snavely coupe theft and Muhr store break in. Petet later received a one year penitentiary term.
