Jacob Volkert Dies and Funeral Held in Dalton
Jacob Volkert 69, a prominent farmer of the west Dalton district, died in a Dalton hospital Thursday night after a pneumonia attack. He moved to Cheyenne county years ago and farmed seven miles west of Dalton where he lived until death. His wife died about a year and a half ago. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Dalton Lutheran church at 1 30 p.m. Rev Herman Joens officiated. Interment followed at Dalton cemetery. He is survived by three children Louis Volkert and two daughters Mrs Louis Schmidt and Mrs William Sachs.
