Four Youths Jailed For Theft Of Blanket
Four youths from Fort Morgan Colorado faced ten day jail terms in Sidney after stealing four blankets from Lone Pine Cabin Camp last Wednesday night. Deputy Barton Taylor transported the quartet from Sterling, with Logan county authorities detaining them at the sheriff's request. The teens stayed at the police station one night then at the cabin camp Tuesday and Wednesday. two blankets were missing but later recovered.

State Engineer A C Tilley announced bids due March 30 for armor coat work totaling about 5.39 million dollars. Projects include 6.6 miles of No 19 in Box Butte between Alliance and Chadron, 22.8 miles of No 19 in Cheyenne and Morrill counties from Sidney to Bridgeport, and 10.7 miles of No 2 in Sheridan County from Antioch to Ellsworth. The Cheyenne County segment runs Huntsman to the county line. Sidney to Huntsman may be state or county work. The process oils roads by laying a foundation coat first year then armor coat next year to repair and complete the job.

Debate Meet Comes to Sidney High Saturday
The annual district debate meet will be held at Sidney High School on Saturday March 18 with six Class A and two Class B teams. The topic asks whether the United States should form an alliance with Great Britain. Nebraskans owing taxes before March 19 1937 may avoid penalties and interest if paid by December 31 under LB14 signed by Governor R L Cochran. Sportsmen Volunteer For Warden Services
Five western Nebraska sportsmen will serve as deputy game wardens next week to bolster enforcement of state game regulations. Four are appointed, a fifth expected soon. duties will be part time, unpaid except for allowances to cover expenses. They operate in Scotts Bluff and Morrill counties under Game Warden C. C. Hurling, with the association posting $500 bonds for each deputy at a cost of $5 per bond.

Several Arrests On Traffic Law Counts
A series of traffic law arrests in Cheyenne county last week were reported by State Patrol. Ernes H. Holtorf of Yutan Nebraska was fined ten dollars and costs for overloading his truck. Langley was fined one dollar and costs for improper registration plates. Gilbert paid five dollars and costs for improper license plates, and Mueller one dollar and costs for driving with 1938 plates. Patrolman Oltman made the arrests.

Missing Trucker Sought Abduction Feared by Officers
Authorities in three states searched for John Davison a 23 year old Dalton trucker who disappeared in Cheyenne Friday night. His truck and hat were found there but he has not been heard from since about 9 30. Sheriff Schulz said Davison may have been slugged for the $400 he carried to pay for a refinery purchase. Two Cheyenne men and a waitress who waited on him about 10 pm were questioned as the investigation continued.
